Note: Rock (Monogr. Stud. Haw. Lobelioid. 277. 1919) designated B sheet, which was later destroyed, as type, citing GH sheet as "co-type." Contrary to Lammers (1994, p. 561), C. bishopii is not a superfluous name; see record for C. kunthiana.
